Hi, I’m Gemma — the face behind the camera and the slightly chaotic, always-smiling person you’ll usually find singing nursery rhymes, making silly noises, or pulling daft faces to get that perfect grin.
I work from my cosy home studio in Cannock, Staffordshire — a calm, welcoming space where children can just be themselves and parents can truly relax.
I’m also a mum of three. So I completely understand the chaos, the nerves, the bribery, the meltdowns, the silliness, and everything in between. Nothing phases me. I’ve lived it, breathed it, and photographed it many times over.
When I had my first baby, I remember walking out of a photography studio with my tiny newborn in my arms… and a much bigger payment plan than I had expected. In that sleep-deprived newborn haze, I hadn’t fully understood the pricing, and I felt a little overwhelmed by the whole process. That experience shaped the way I run my business today.
Beautiful photographs don’t come from fancy equipment alone… they come from trust. And trust starts long before the camera comes out. That’s why all of my pricing is clearly available to view on my website before you book. There are no on-the-day sales and no pressure decisions. You secure your session with a deposit, enjoy a calm, relaxed experience in the studio, and then choose your package once you’ve seen your images — from home, in your own time.
Over the years, I’ve learned that what families really need isn’t just lovely photographs. They need patience. Kindness. Reassurance. The words people most often use in my reviews — patient, calming, brilliant with children — mean more to me than anything else.
I’ve also had the privilege of working with children of all personalities and needs, including many with autism. Every child communicates differently, so I gently adapt each session around them — going slowly, keeping things quiet and simple, offering plenty of space, or simply following their lead. There’s never any pressure here. We go at whatever pace feels right.
My studio is a place for giggles, wiggles, shyness, chaos, and everything in between — and I genuinely love it all.
Because I built this space for families like mine.

"The photoshoot for Flo was just fab. Gemma was so relaxed and patient with Flo, you can clearly see she knows how to work with newborns. The variety of photos was great and Gemma gave us the option of colours beforehand, so we could have an input on the theme of the shoot. Literally photos were sent and edited within 24 hours! Prices are very good too, as you have full flexibility to choose however many photos you would like. Overall, a very professional service with fantastic results!"

"Perfect photoshoot gemma went above and beyond for us. We won a competition on Facebook which gave us 3 free prints. Gemma set up two back drops and took over 80 photos, she filtered them down and sent us the images over the same day. Editing was 5-7 days and she did this in a day. Cannot recommend Gemma enough!!!
